Chemical Peels

Reveal Radiant Skin with Chemical Peels!

Chemical peels are a customizable solution for improving skin tone, texture, and clarity. By exfoliating the outer layers of the skin, these treatments stimulate cell renewal and collagen production, addressing concerns such as fine lines, acne scars, and uneven pigmentation. At The Aesthetic Center, we provide a range of peel options, from mild to aggressive, ensuring a treatment plan tailored to your skin’s unique needs and goals for a revitalized, radiant appearance.

How It Works

Chemical peels use carefully formulated solutions applied to the skin to gently exfoliate the outer layers. As the skin heals, fresh new cells are revealed, leading to a smoother, brighter, and more even complexion. Depending on the peel’s strength, treatment can target surface concerns or reach deeper layers for more dramatic improvement.

What It Treats

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven skin tone and discoloration
  • Sun damage and age spots
  • Acne and post-acne marks
  • Rough or dull texture

Benefits

Chemical peels offer noticeable improvements in skin clarity and texture, leaving your complexion looking more refreshed and radiant. With regular treatments, they can soften fine lines, minimize blemishes, and promote long-term skin health by stimulating natural renewal. Many patients enjoy both the immediate glow and the progressive results that follow in the weeks after treatment.

Avoid using exfoliants, retinol, or any products containing acids like glycolic or salicylic acid for at least one week before your treatment. Stay away from waxing, laser treatments, or sun exposure that could irritate the skin. It’s also recommended to keep your skin hydrated and refrain from wearing makeup on the day of your appointment.

DURING TREATMENT

Based on your skin type and concerns, a specially formulated chemical solution is applied to your skin. This solution works to exfoliate the outer layers and stimulate skin regeneration. You may feel a mild tingling or warm sensation during the process, but discomfort is minimal. After the peel is neutralized, a soothing moisturizer or sunscreen will be applied to protect your skin.

AFTER TREATMENT

You may experience redness, peeling, and mild sensitivity for several days after your treatment. Avoid direct sun exposure and always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin as it heals. For the first week, avoid using harsh skincare products, including retinol, exfoliants, and acids. Keep your skin moisturized with a gentle, hydrating lotion, and avoid picking or peeling any flaky skin to prevent irritation or scarring.

Chemical Peel FAQs

Typically, patients peel the most on days 3 and 4 following treatment. Everyone can experience a chemical peel differently. The amount of peeling and number of days varies with each patient and skin type.

Most patients will peel for 3-4 days depending on the individual. Attending work/social events is usually determined by the amount of peeling one is experiencing.

All skin types can be treated. We recommend this treatment for sensitive skin, melasma, mature skin, and all other skin types.

Avoid exfoliants for one week before your appointment, use sunscreen, stay hydrated, and inform your provider of any medications or allergies you may be taking.

Avoid exfoliants, harsh ingredients, strong acids, direct sun exposure, and hot water for at least one week after your peel.

It’s best to avoid strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours after a chemical peel. Sweating can irritate your skin and impede the healing process. Light activities, such as walking, are generally fine.
